September 11:th is now in my memory as the day when our foreign minister was murdered in cold blood in the afternoon while shopping. I remeber WTC too, but Its fading away, like Switch said.

poo man, is she dead ? Really my condolences to your country (and all the people in it). She was quite popular I heared... I tried to follow the news, but this went past me because of school yesterday evening, and homework and that. I dont have a tv at the moment, and that isnt helping either. It was in the news here, in Holland.

On the US: yes, I also did realise it, but just went trouhg the day as normal. I guess its completely different if you live "over there", just hope something like that never happens again. I guess everyone can agree on that...

...our foreign minister was murdered...

poo man, is she dead?

Do you have any self-awareness?

Yes, I do.

Reading back now, I see what a stupid reply that was. I am sorry for that. The thing is, I followed most of this on the radio, when she was still in hospital getting surgery, the day(s) before.

Therefore I was very suprised, also shocked, to hear that she did not make it. because we, in Holland, too had a political figured murdered not too long ago ('bout 2 years) and this left our country in turmoil for a "time".

Therefore, my reply was something like 'Oh no, is this true ? really ? cant believe it etc etc...' along that line.

Sorry again for sounding like a stupid n00b or anything, you can only 'say' so much with just typing, on the internet, in forums...

...friends again ..?   :( :)

The 2000 elections I was asked what I thought they needed in a poll. My answer "Better canidates."

Gore had the charisma of a sock puppet, and Bush had the brains of one.

But looking back on things, a lot of people say "Well thank god we didn't have Al Gore running things at the time."

My thought was "So, Bush is the only one that can point to a country on a map, and say 'Bomb here.'?"

Sure. Gore probably might not have rallied the same suport Bush did. But who knows? It takes all kinds of situations to bring out the best in people. Hell, Rudy Guiliani(spelling?) was a turd. Remember before 9/11 the headlines were all about his mistresses... erectile disfunction... No one, really could get behind this man. But when 9/11 happened, the man stood up when the people needed him.

EDIT: I don't want to come out sounding like I truely support Al Gore or something, I'm a GDI((God damned independant.)) So I have a natural dislike of both the far left and the far right.
