pzschrek
Hi, all. Been lurking for quite awhile, been playing Bethesda titles since Morrowind. I tried to take a crack at running a whole mess of mods when returning to oblivion, but after a weekend of effort surrendered and gave up. I'm not going to surrender so easily now that I am revisiting Fallout 3! I'm trying to start the game of MOD troubleshooting, but I can't seem to get out of the gate. When I fire up FOSE, it gives me this error message: "Couldn't find C:\Windows/system32/falloutng.exe, make sure you're running this from the same folder as fallout.exe." Didn't find any answers on this forum or on google, so thought I would check with you all. I toggled invalidation off in FOMM. By the way, once I do get that working, I plan to start playing the troubleshooting game with the mods below. I mostly downloaded a mess of them into the data folder. Here is my current load order that I have started fussing with based on forum and Nexus lurking, if anyone spots obvious trouble off the bat, it will save me some time. Fonger
start with the obvious where did you install FOSE??
pzschrek
Thanks for the response! I actually just figured it out...I had miffed one of the install instructions on one of the mods. As they say, reading is fundamental. The game at least fires up and I can get started in the wasteland now...I'll start playing and see how it treats me.
