martyryum
I am just curious, and if somebody more experienced than myself have an opinion about this, i would be really glad. The question is, am I the only one who after finding the laser sights mod for any weapon spended next half an hour trying to figure out where the red dot is, and after realization that its simply not there felt horribly underwhelmed? And immediately went to look for mod that adds it? And felt even more horrific when realized that there is none? my question is: why? At first i said to myself "ok, you (meaning me) know nothing about modding, it just cant be done for some technical mumbo jumbo reason", and dropped the issue, but i noticed few excellent mods on nexus recently adding various flashlights, and i thought that hey, if you can make a cone of light of this size shoot out of your eyes, why cant it be done so that that cone is much smaller...and redder...and tighter...and link it to the weapon crosshair? After this i think that linking the functionality to the weapon mod would be trivial...but hey, as i said, i know nothing about modding, and maybe there is a perfectly sound reason why nobody released a mod like this. So basically my question really boils down to: can it be done?
Zooboomafuthefan
That's a very tricky question but there is a chance it can be done. I mean someone made a flashlightNVSE mod. Someone like him maybe can do it considering his experiance on point-light scripting and coding.
Ethreon
It would be purely a visual thing. The laser sight mods are not there to help you manually aim, they are made to reduce the weapon spread. So a laser dot was probably deemed useless. Don't think the game doesn't allow it, it's just not seen as important at any level.
