gehn02 Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 I've been wanted to use the Elven Map Redux with all the compilations(Bartholm, Sutch, Stirk, Elsweyr, Leyawinn, West Roads, etc.) I have OMOD's create for Merged Maps 1.1 & West Roads 1.3 activated. Now, I finally have everything on my world map that I wanted working somewhat, but now all my map markers, icons have shifted. Something I just tried, I deactivated the West Roads OMOD, and everything goes back to normal. Icons are where they should be & everything. However, even though the roads that connect, Chorrol to Skingrad/Kvatch, & the Sutch Road, and my Elven map is still intact. In game, the physical roads are not there. But when my icons are shifted(when I have the West Roads activated) the road is there. Any help on traveling on the West Roads & keeping my icons from shifting over? Tomlong54210 Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Oh, you are dealing with OBMM's bad conflict detection. If you reinstall the Elven Map mod, the West Roads' map will be installed over again. I do not know how you would get both working properly with map markers from other mods since it changes the map coordinates; however, reinstalling the Elven Map mod will completely uninstall West Roads. chaospearl Posted May 10, 2010 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Which Elven Map are you using? The recent release that has all the roads combined? You shouldn't be having any issues using all those together. Try reinstalling the West Roads mod, then put the Elven map as the last thing you install so it'll overwrite whatever other maps get in there. Just make sure you're using the correct Elven Map; at this point there are over two dozen different versions depending on which roads you have installed. If you're using anything that includes Stirk you'll need Merged Maps as well otherwise you get the icon shifty thing. It happens because Stirk is too far off the map so things have to get changed around to make it all fit. Put Merged Maps AFTER your bashed patch if you're using one, or it won't work. There should NOT be a problem running West Roads and the Elven Map at the same time. The map doesn't override the roads... I'm not sure what's being referred to there, I may be misunderstanding. The West Roads mod adds physical roads, whereas Elven Map Redux only includes maps and does not alter the game world at all. It isn't even a plugin as we use the term; it's just a set of new textures that overwrite the vanilla maps. They're two completely different kinds of mods and don't conflict at all. The only troublesome bit is making sure you choose the map that shows all the roads from whichever mods you've got installed. But even if you pick the wrong map it still won't "conflict" ... it'll just be that your map shows roads that aren't actually in the game, or doesn't show roads that are. I've got both in my game -- West Roads and the Elven Map -- and haven't had an issue. I did have some trouble making the map that includes Stirk work; for some reason I kept getting shifty icons even when I had Merged Maps set up. If that keeps happening to you too, you might need to forsake the Stirk map and get the Elven Map that includes all your roads except for Stirk. Edited because I got Sutch and Stirk confused, oops.
