OmniDeath
ive lost shadowmere... i cant find him newhere and he hasnt returned to the fort you get him from. i even went and rode my black horse but that didnt send shadowmere back to his default fort. i tried the call steed 1.5 mod but the ring isnt working. i tried call steed 30a but i cant mark him if i cant find him, and it says he cant hear me whn i try the ring so i ran all over the map, but havnt gotten close enough to him for that to work. so can someone help me find him somehow?!? thanks! Switch
Have you tried using Fast Travel? Like to a cave or something? That should place all the horses you own right next to your character.
mechsaber
that happened to me before. i had to reload an old save game ( i back up my save game alot) you could also try getting another horse, fast travel with it so its stabled. a message should pop up that "the shadowmere has returned to fort ferragut (misspelled most likely). Malchik
I had a message he was unconscious once and then he vanished. I also reloaded to an earlier game to bring him back. It may be that he can be killed I don't know. It is a pity that you cannot stable horses for a few days to enable local fast travel without them. The open ground around the Ayleid ruin of Morahame was seething with Aksomethingorother trolls and of course he went after them! I was dealing with those attacking me and never saw where he went. Sypron
okay, don't try teleporting to the fort. get a new horse, or a different horse at least, and travel to a city. leave the city and go to the citys stable, he might be there.

Marxist ßastard
Put this in your Oblivion root directory: [REMOVED: See below.] You can now place the horse right back where you originally found him by opening the console and feeding it "bat s_m.txt." Safer than introducing a completely new reference in, I'd think.
