Startup Crash

Today I installed a couple new mods. When Oblivion started, there was the normal OBSE popups and then the black full screen. It then just crashed. I went for the mods first, uninstalling, reinstalling every one of them in different combonations. Didnt help. Is this a common problem? Im thinking its OBSE related, but I dont know.

OBSE is rarely a problem. sometimes a mod that requires OBSE has problems though.

First, you need to have the latest patch installed.

Then be sure to start the game with OBSE and not the oblivion launcher

 

It's never a good idea to install a bunch of mods all at once. If you install them one at a time and test each one you will always know which one is causing problems.

Edit: You are missing the OOO ESP as well...? Did you install OOO? Also, you need to drop darker dungeons. Let There Be Darkness is a mod for the same purpose, but it is more current. For the most part, you should not use mods that make the same kinds of alterations. That is a recipe for problems.

Nice link, but it's missing 2 doozies

 

1 - MMM 3.0 - critical bug and 2 years outclassed by MMM updates

Heck, I've even found MMM 3.0 on Tesnexus!! This Year!! talk about ROTFLMAO

 

2 - Streamline 2.1 - also over 2 years outdated

 

and both are still appearing on "load order help" threads.

I wasn't putting mods in that list that are actively being worked on (or with later working versions out), but if you think they are popular enough, I might as well... I need to add Quest Award Leveling too. I forgot about that...

 

 

Edit: Plus, I have SL referenced in multiple locations on that site, all screaming get 3.1b AND the 3.1b patch...
