King Calenhad Tomb

Hey all . I dunno anything about modding or modelling , but after reading the in game codex's this idea suddenly came to me and i tough it would be an awesome idea for a mod !

So if u get the codex ( or if u haven't here's the information on the wiki : http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Calenhad ) , Calenhad was the man that united the Clayne tribes into a nation and so became the first king of Ferelden . The circle of magi made him a magical set of armor in silverish colour wich nicknamed him the "Silver Knight".

So basically my idea was adding a new point in the map , an island in the middle of lake Calenhad , where a small dungeon , the tomb of King Calenhad , would be located . The tomb would be full of traps and undead who swore to protect the king for all eternity . At the end of the dungeon , there would be a sarcophagus where u could get as reward King Calenhad Armour ! Anyone wants to pick this idea ?

Hey there, I can definitely work on this mod. I'm finishing up my first adventure mod titled Temple of Vulak. It's a huge project, and a learning project for me. I'm definitely comfortable with creating this, although I still need to learn how to create a brand new level effectively. Anyhow, check out my work-in-progress. I know I can customize an adventure to what you're asking for, and insert King Calenhad's Silver Armor as the final reward. Let me finish up Temple of Vulak and if no one picks up this idea, i'll get working on it.

I'll leave all the creative modeling / 3dmax work to ther people since I don't know how to do that. But so far, i'm all about extending the play life of this game through custom adventure modules.

Oh wow, oh wow that sounds so awesome! I am so excited to know you are interested in creating it dragonagefun and I will now be stalking you :whistling: Not to mention that the armor sound so interesting, is there any information anywhere else about that armor, I wonder? I would love to know what kind of enchanting it will have and what it will look like, etc. *wiggles* Very exciting and I love how this quest will tie into the history of the game, very very cool!

So, i started to create a custom layout for this adventure. So far, I have created a brand new level where King Calenhad's remains will be (or at least where his armor will be located - unsure if i want to make this his grave, since the codex is unclear where he disappeared). This level is built from ground up, so its never been seen before. Before I start laying out this adventure, I want to get an idea what people might want to see in this adventure. I intend on creating this for mid-level adventuring, somewhere around lvl 13-17.

So far, the original poster suggested traps and undeads guarding this tomb. Anyone care to add more ideas?

BTW - I do not know how to work with 3dstudio max or any other 3d rendering software. I don't do this full time and I only do this for fun. I would LOVE for someone to create a suit of armor mesh fitting to the "Silver Knight" in which I can use as the final reward. Otherwise, unfortunately I will have to settle for using "silverite" material on a mesh provided by Bioware.

  • 2 weeks later...

MAN i thought that Temple of Vulak was hard hahaha

This thing is umm impossible, i had to download that mod "Bahn's hammer" that does 500 damage per hit just to stay alive .

Especially level 4 with all those mages that gang up on your party and little bastards heal each other ! and the animated suits of armor that make those in Origins look like a walk in the park on a sunny day :)

Still i LOVE YOUR STUFF MAN

God bless and keep em coming

Edit: no longer stuck ,thanks a lot
