eldritch
You have to be very careful with plug-ins. Many of them are either unbalancing or buggy or puerile. Be sure to save and store your current games and plug-ins in another directory before loading in a new one.
thanateros
you can always make a new character and experience the game in a different way. but toughing it out is always a lot of fun and exploring the continent. even after you've gotten to the top of every faction your in there is always stuff to do (like stealing the house noble books for the two opposing houses and offing their councilors one by one....hehehehe)

Peregrine
"huh.... hmmmm when i was trying to destroy the heart it took too long to destroy it and im at level 10 at that time and using a daedric dai-katana.... hehehe" And another person discovers that actually reading all that dialogue/books/etc is a good thing.... You could sit there until the end of the universe hitting the heart with your dai-katana. Only way to destroy it is one hit from sunder, then 5 or so from keening. Mikhail
ooooo that really works but who reads books that almost as real an as long as the real books.....eh..
Peregrine
Uh... anyone who actually cares about the role-playing side of an rpg.... The books are a major part of the story/world, so read them! And reading the key ones for the quests saves the rest of us from answering your questions like that. If you just want mindless killing go play diablo or counterstrike.
Marxist ßastard
Er... The books are, at most, twenty pages long. Now consider the size of each page, which probably only allows for fifty to one hundred words. Therefore, Morrowind books can only be considered long if compared to "My First ABCs." Kethruch
I agree that books are an integral part of the game, and not just because they can add to your stats or are the target of a quest. They add depth and breadth to the storyline. I love putting tasks and ideas of where things are in books that 99% of players never read. This rewards those who get into the game as much as I have while creating it. If you're feeling all god-like, like I did with my first character - beating things up mercilessly and never having to worry that anything that you run into can kill you even though you're only tenth level - and you want to have an extreme culture shock, set the difficulty slider to 100 and start from scratch. If you want to play a non-tank character it will take a while before you can even survive the bandit cavern near Seyda Neen. I'm not sure if it was the default or my wife (she's addicted to the game too...) but the first time I actually saw the slider, it was set at -42. As far as the end of the game goes, the game is only limited by the player's imagination and sense of adventure.___________________A man looked up to the heavens and shouted out "God, Sir, I exist!!!""That's fine." God replied. "Just don't think it creates an obligation on my part."
Tenchi
The books are one of the besta aspects of the game, I've actually never seen anything like the sheer amount of them in Morrowind... And hey, maybe my game was different, but Vivec is way tougher than Dagoth Ur.
