Auto soul gem recharge

I've searched the Nexus for a mod making soul gems autorecharge the items in possesion, but all I have found were mods either auto recharging items at midnight or giving spells that do that instead - both don't suit me.What I would like to suggest is (I think) a bit more complicated, but maintains the balance of the game and makes playing it a bit more comfortable.

What I would want is a mod that makes soul gems auto recharge the items we have in possession, the items we are using in particular, if possible. The mod would recognize the capacity of the soul gems we have and adjust the usage of which according the power status of the enchanted item. For example:

Our weapon's enchantment power status is 1000/1600. We have a number of soul gems, let's say one of each kind. The mod would recharge the item using the gem of the least power first - so it would first use the petty soul gem, then the lesser, which would recharge our item to the point of 1000+150+300=1450 out of the maximum 1600. It wouldn't use the common soul gem simply because it wouldn't be cost-effective :) The mod would either wait untill the enchantment power drops to 800 and then recharge the item with the common soul gem of 800 capacity, or until we gain a soul gem of lesser capacity.

I hope I have explained it clearly :)

Havent seen a mod like this but there is a mod that restores enchanted items over time using ur mystisism skill... using soul gems could kinda get unbalanced if u had a weapon with trap soul and damege effect enchants and a azuras star or alot of soul gems

I think I actually did see a mod like this once. I'll link it if I remember, and update the post if I was wrong.

i posted an identical question to this last week. anyway, the only automatic recharge system i've found on the nexus was some sort of recharge-at-midnight mod. it was incredibly not graceful at all. essentially it scripted a varla stone to be added to your inventory and used immediately at midnight. clever, yes, but just not elegant at all. plus if you didn't use any weapons that day, and it was all topped off already, you netted yourself a free varla stone.

now, so as to not completely screw up the balancing of this, have the recharge happen only outside of combat. that way, you're not hacking away at something continuously. you'd still have to manually recharge in battle. once the dust settles though, you can just go on your merry way.

Heres how I am gonna do it

Youll need to have Azuras Star or some other recharging soul gem that I am modeling and when your current equipped charge weaopn reaches lets say less than 100 it will drain that gem and add the charge to your weapon

When you are out of combat your current weapon will recharge lets say 50 - 100 every 3 hours

Thank you that you've taken up the idea :)

It's your mod, but if I may suggest something... I don't think that's a good idea. You shouldn't have anything for free.

Il release two mods then

I included this becasue I missed your weapons recharging themselves like they did in Morrowind. In morrowind they would recharge themselves when you would walk around , rest or basically when you did anything A lot of peple wanted this in the other topic
