Keanumoreira
So, assuming that everyone who is reading this has played fallout 2 and or 3, then you all know about the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, or the G.E.C.K for short. We've seen it build a thriving community in Fallout 2, and purify the Potomac river in the capital wasteland. So I'm just wondering if it will return. What about Fallout New Vegas? The main character is a courier who, while delivering a package, is shot, left for dead, and deprieved of that package. Was he carrying a G.E.C.K to some important person? Seems so considering the fact that the entire main storyline was revealed to be revolved around what's inside. Is this the last we've seen of Stanislaus Braun's fantastic, terraforming machine? Skotte
My hunch is that we haven't seen the last of GECK, in-game or the modding tool
Nihilisaurus
I hope it doesn't appear in New vegas, otherwise it'd just be cliche... The FO3 one was a special one tweaked by braun, FO2's was more akin to a gardening kit, making the huge effort to get one really quite hilarious. Now I personally love the G.E.C.K; it's a brillant thing to be put in the Fallout universe. But adding it to New Vegas wouldn't really make sense considering the fact Vegas wasn't hit by the bombs, instead it just suffers from deterioration, so why the machine would be used here doesn't add up if it appears in the game. Perhaps, however, a device even more powerful and advanced lies in that package, we'll just have to wait and see, but I hope to god it's exciting and not something idiotic like a family heirloom or wedding present. JackTrenton
I think they could build GECKs for themselves now. Think about- Braun is eternally trapped in his little video game all alone. Maybe the Lone Wanderer pays a few visits in exchange for GECK blueprints? I'm sure the Brotherhood would have the expertise to assemble one or more. Maybe the Lone Wanderer pays a few visits in exchange for GECK blueprints? I'm sure the Brotherhood would have the expertise to assemble one or more. I don't know about that, sure the brotherhood has the smarts to do it, but their resources are just not what it used to be, so if they could, it would take awhile to assemble a new G.E.C.K. Also remember that G.E.C.K's are extremely unstable, so if someone does even the slightest wrong thing, all hell could be unleashed, and no, not in the form of rolling hills, and drinkable water, I'm talking about another nuclear explosion, considering how powerful those kits are since they can calapse matter within their core. :nuke: And this can occur because I assume these kits took very top notch scientists who knew everything that they were doing, and after 200 years, society tends to forget things, so the precise way to build one without trouble, even with Bruans's help, could be more far fetched then we are led to believe.
