bben46
I have a set of help files for people who are not computer geeks and are new to mods. They include downloading, extracting (unzipping) installing and activating mods. I have included a simple mod to practice on and instructions for installing and using 7-zip. If you are interested, click on the highlighted link below to be taken to the site where they are kept. I recommend starting with #1 and working your way through them. http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibrary/forum/256092/ If you use them I would appreciate some feedback as to what needs improvement and what works for you. bben46
OBSE stands for Oblivion Script Extender. Many mods require it to be installed before they will work. It is not a mod and must be installed properly - read the instructions. Then it must be started instead of using the Oblivion launcher. It will automatically start Oblivion when it loads. I also recommend using OBMM - Oblivion Mod Manager. It has many functions for working with mods. Including a replacement for the Games lame data list. The OBMM data shows files in load order, and allows changing the load order - a handy thing for when you have more than a few mods running.OBMM http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097 Again, not a mod so be sure to read the install instructions. OBMM has a launcher that will automatically start OBSE (if it is present), then the game.
