Ladde
Hello. I've just reinstalled Oblivion, togheter with Shivering Isle. And I'm looking for mods.I did play alot of Oblivion for a long time ago, but I still remember alot of it. What I'm after now is a new experiance and perhaps a better. Easily put it, I'm lost. There is to much to choose from. So I turn to you here to help me get started :) I've looked into the "Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul" mod. Is this really as good as it looks? But does it work with other mods?Should I go for this easy way. or will I have to go with a mix of othermods to really get out most of my Oblivion experiance? I'm really helpful for all the help I can get. Since reading about "Must have mods" is abit tricky since you don't know if they are compatible with eachother. So, anyway.Cheers! TehBuddha
OOO is actually brilliant  Im not sure wether its compatible with ofther major mods, but i think theres something called FCOM, which sorts the compatibility isues with MMM and another (or a couple of other) mod\s out. Im using MOE with OOO, and im having no troubles with it. theuseless
Yes, those mods are great overhauls. I haven't played with much Oscuro's yet, but it is highly regarded all across the board. If you are looking for quest mods, check out the TOQL. As far as the basics go, I can't play without the Armamentarium. Just make sure you get both the files. Download and install them in this order: 1: Artifacts2: Arma Complete You shouldn't have any problems with this download, but if you get any yellow "wtf I'm a missing mesh" boxes, you might need to install the other arma pieces, arma, armor, katanas, and staffs. I really like this collection because it has options for OOO, Fran's, and body replacers. I have always been partial to the water, so I like the following buildings as well: 1: Biotavion on the Water. This is by far my favorite home. It is small but well organized, with a good amount of customized stuff for you to say wow to. One problem is that if you place a Reznod's Mannequin on somewhere funny, it won't stay. You pretty much have to place them on a pathnode (that's another story, for another time). 2: Azure Palace. This a fancy palace that you can run around in. I like it for the scenery, it has a high aesthetic value to me. 3: Castle Almgard. This a huge castle, complete with npc's. It is right outside of Anvil and somewhat dwarfs the countess' castle, but I love the mod. 4: Castle Seaview. This mod technically conflicts with Azure Palace, but it is just a minor landscape issue. It doesn't detract from either one, despite the conflicts in the detector. Yet another large castle, complete with npc's, and has a unique horse that you can get. Hope that this helps you get started in the right direction, theuseless

MOE (if you want to have a look) - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7902 FCOM - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12249 Do I have to use some MOD-installer program? I've only used Oblivion Mod Manager, but I hear there is alot of alternatives? And in what order do I have to install them? For FCOM is everything I need on that link? Or do I have to download MMM and all the other stuff? As they say here: http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcominstall.html Gaaah! so confusing, everything. Would really be happy if you could tell me that :) Yes, those mods are great overhauls. I haven't played with much Oscuro's yet, but it is highly regarded all across the board. If you are looking for quest mods, check out the TOQL.Thanks for all that mods :)Still, how would I install them and in what order? I have Shivering Isle installed to, if that matters?Thank for all the help. Saves me alot of headache. Edit: This is to much argh. Every mod I'd like to have, have all this "install X" but X has Y to install, and Y needs Z to work... and it just gets so frustraiting annoying. And even if I get everything in Wrye Bash, in which order should I load it?.... Edit 2: Okey, so I've spent around 2-3 hours fixing with all this. Reading about load-order and BOSS and Wrye and all this mod...from here http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcominstall.htmlhttp://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcomloadorderexpanded.html And now the game won't even run. Where are the new users guide? They just asume that I should know how BOSS or Wrye works? Its so F- annoying. I hate it when it dosen't explain things from a new user point of view.... Start to feel that I'll give up on this... really frustraited now! ://
Ladde
Getting FCOM to work seems just to much for me. I tried the whole day and at the end Oblivion wouldn't even work.So... I guess MMM and OOO would be easier to use? Really annoying that it would take this much time and skill to just add more content to the game. TehBuddha
Yeah I know, I honestly think ive spent more time putting mods into the game than actually playing it >.< I dont use MMM, and im not 100% sure its compatible with OOO. But then again, it probably is.
