Crashing on save – HDR/Boom related?

Hey all, I seem to be having a common problem, but it doesn't seem to be mod related.

Basically, I'm Fallout 3 is crashing when saving (any kind of save, quicksave, auto when travelling, etc).

And it just start pretty randomly. I haven't added any news mods lately, it was working fine until just now. The only change I've made was change from HDR to Boom lighting. Once it started crashing, I changed back but it's still crashing. I've tried from various different saves I have, it loads fine but always crashes when I try to save.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This might be either a corrupted save or you have patch 1.5 installed, which causes this.

HDR & Bloom shouldn't have sth to do with the save games. Does it still crash if you swith back?

Yeah, it crashes after switching back. It also crashes from all sorts of different saves I have. Also, it crashes when I try to manually save a new file.

And I'm running V 1.7.

Have you tried to disable all your mods and to switch off the archive invalidation. Is it still crashing?

Got it working.

Just to let you all know, I reloaded the game, wandered off and got myself killed. Then the game automatically reloaded the last save and now everything works fine, saves perfectly.

Strange. Probably something to do with resetting stuff, or something or other. I'd like to say I'm a technical genius, but that would be a huge lie.
