I need the format for the "shaders.txt" file please.

I`m trying to run OBGE and everything checks out except for the lack of a shaderlist.txt file. I know I can make my own, but I need a very specific format for what the file should contain and look like, if possible. Thank you in advance for any responses.

Yeah that's the only thing I've been able to find on it too. No matter what I try, I never get a list of shaders when I click on the key. It just says "Choose a shader" and there's nothing else there but an "OK" button. And now I can't even load my game without it going completely black except for menus. Ugh. I don't know if the contents of the shaderlist.txt file are required to be written out with dashes in front of them or not, I don't know if there's supposed to be anything else in there beyond the shader file names, etc. I've read the FAQ through and through and all I can deduce is the you write them in that specific order, exactly as the file name appears, and with ".fx" on the end of each file name. I've done this and it still will not work. I've since all but given up on this mod and now I'm trying to use the ScreenEffects mod, but also to no avail. It says it's been loaded but I don't get the item in my inventory to alter it. Grrr... I don't know what I'm doing wrong. But thank you for the link, my friend.

I'm running Vista, unfortunately. And it's been a nightmare trying to mod Oblivion. I learned pretty early to install Oblivion in a different folder. I actually have the blackout issue narrowed down to on shader after hours of banging my head against a wall. And it's the only shader I need/want. It's the ColorEffects shader. I've began dismantling it piece by piece and running Oblivion each time to see if the screen still goes black in hopes of finding the line in it that's causing the black screen. Although I'm not sure what I'll do even if I do isolate the bad line because I'm not a programmer. I'm looking into that update you mentioned right now.

I downloaded the update and it said a newer or equivalent version of DirectX had already been installed... =\

Edit: ooohh, did you cover all of the other things I mentioned in that post (i.e., renaming the newer OBGE.dll)?

Yes. I was really excited when I read that because that was the only thing I hadn't done yet lol but it didn't fix it. Everything appears to be installed correctly though... :(
