legal tender Posted May 19, 2010 Share Posted May 19, 2010 Hi all, I'm on my first FO3 playthrough. Finished the Vault and just left on my way to Megaton. All was fine until all of sudden, just after crossing the first decayed road, this weird red arrow appeared in front of me. My rig has an i5 (wossname, the basic one), gtx275, 4G RAM (on XP) so not sure it'd be a hardware issue (just finished ME2 with everything graphics almost all the way up) I have a very watered-down version of Arwen's Mod list. I'm a total noob when it comes to Bethesda-style mods so I played it safe and followed her load order but left a lot out so as to minimize the chances of me screwing it up. please see my load order below. From what I've gathered it could be a mesh that can be solved with OBSE (that was made for Oblivion, correct?). If this is the case, could someone provide directions as to how to use OBSE to solve this? And I'm a bit confused, isn't OBSE the equivalent of FO script extender? (which I have). FOMM spits an 'unhandled exception error' when asked to check for conflicts. BOSS tells me everything's alright (it does say the last few .esp are not recognised, though) and FOEdit only tells me at least one file could not be saved (didn't say this when I tested just before playing for the first time). Some more information: 1. The arrow thingie will 'fade in' a few seconds after loading a game. I get to walk a few paces and then it appears, sort of blinking as I move about.2. Goes away indoors3. The issue seems to be with Enhanced Weather. Deactivating it and all its resources gives me a nasty black&white view of the world after loading but everything goes back to normal after popping in and out of any closed rooms. I know it's a bit of a drag to slosh through this kind of posts but I will leave this here just in case somebody else stumbles upon this same problem. PS. Sorry about posting in the wrong place.
