Vicrry
One of the things that kept me playing Morrowind for years was my custom techno playlist. I'd do the same again but Oblivion does a much better job of using music to set the mood than Morrowind did, and I'd like to keep the idea but the Oblivion music is getting very repetitive. Any suggestions on good tunes to use? There's still the fight and explore music, but the game uses different music while in dungeons now?
VladimIr V Y
Right now I'm OK with Oblivion's music. But if it will start getting tired, I probably will use something from "The Lord of the Rings" OST. Some tracks from "Berserk" OST will do a fine job for a battle music. Maybe something from "Medieval: Total War"I don't like idea of using techno, or rock music in fantasy game... Ruins the feeling of the fantasy world, I think. P.S. "The Lonely Shepherd" from "Kill Bill vol.1" or other collections is perfect.
Servis
Personally, I don't like how the game's music overpowers all the other sound. So I turned it off completely, and never listened to it again. It's much more.. realistic with no music. But maybe thats just my personal preference.Ive never been able to play games with foreign music playing though. Adras
All of you must have had your music turned up WAY loud because I can barely hear mine. I dont mind it though because when I am walking through a city or something I can almost hear it fine, but when I am fighting or something I cant hear it barely at all. As for suggestions, I wouldn't know. What I would do is use some of the Morrowind music in it because you cant get any music more in the Oblivion mood, thats not from Oblivion, than Morrowind music. But I'm weird like that.
VaanicOne
Allow me to reccomend someone called "Adam Frechette" who uploaded some music of his to the site in order for personal use in OB. Take care to carefully read the copyrights on it though. CLICK HERE to find the compilation in one download file.
Vicrry
I've compiled a new playlist from my collection of classical, works well within town. But I would say that while I tried to stay close to the same feel as Oblivion's, Sousa's Stars And Stripes Forever in the middle of pitched battle with a zombie puts a smile on my face. That collection might be better than what I put together, I'll have to try it out
Wrangler249
I replaced the main menu music with the theme song from The Last of the Mohicans, I find it gears me up for a good old Daedra smashing session. I clipped most of the song off though and just left the really emotional bit in, there's no point sitting for a full 3 minutes listening random violin twiddling when you have the big emotional bit just itching to play as soon as the big Oblivion title rolls in.
