Kelranox
So, I recently uninstalled Oblivion and reinstalled it through Steam. I don't have ANY mods installed for it. All I have are Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine along with the Oblivion.esm. However, it still crashes on startup, what the hell? **Update** I deleted my old save files and it still crashes. Fonger
lessee from the information you've provided it could possibly be . . . 1 ) missing master 2 ) mod from previous install still lingering about causing troubles 3 ) UAC conspiring with your OS to give you a Hairball Day 4 ) your system doesn't meet requirements for this game 5 ) improperly installed DLC 6 ) problems from Steam 7 ) needing to update Windows Live - re Microsoft 8 ) trying to play a previous save and the mods just aren't there
Kelranox
None of that, actually. I moved my Oblivion folder from the 'My Games' section to another portion of 'My Documents' Nice try though.

I moved the entire folder, the save folder just happened to be housed within it. At any rate, I fixed the problem.
