nyde21 Posted August 28, 2014 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I have installed FWE and it allows for an alternate start. I chose to be an enclave refugee. The game started me off at another point on the map. The only instructions I have is to go investigate megaton. But from a roleplaying perspective....why? Why do I go to megaton? I know in the vanilla FO3 the main quest says to go to megaton to find my dad that escaped vault 101. But in this case, why am I going to megaton? My character never came out out of vault 101. It's not like you absolutely have to go to Megaton in order to progress the main questline. If you even intend to play the main questline at all. Last time I did an alternate start playthrough I just pretended to have bumped into some crazy old man who just imagined the player character being his child. 7thsealord Posted September 7, 2014 Share Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) Megaton IS one of the larger and better-known settlements in the DC wastes (Rivet City is larger but arguably less accessible). If your character is looking for employment and/or safe refuge, Megaton would be a reasonable place to head for. .....
