Partners Mod

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to this, so if it's a stupid question, sorry.

I'm trying to get CM Partners Mod Basic to work. It seems cool and could help me out a lot. But I'm confused on how to get it to work. I can't figure out where to put everything, and then where to put it oonce I'm done. The only other mod I have is the lastest Unofficial Patch. Can someone help me out?

Still having trouble. I got the Mod Manager, but it's saying I need Oblivion 1.2.214 or higher, and to download it and install it. I have Game of the Year, so don't I already have it? What's going on here?

install the second disk of GOTY

if you don't have a second disk

its not GOTY - regardless of how its labeled.

There are pirate versions floating around that claim to be GOTY and are not. They have bundled an old version of Obivion with a beta version of of shivering Isles. and they cannot be patched to the latest version. OBSE and many mods will not work with them. But what do you expect when you receive stolen goods. You got what you paid for, along with somebody elses problems. Don't be so cheap, buy the game. It makes patches, mods and utilities much easier to deal with.

The real Retail boxed Oblivion Game Of The Year

There are some that have a 'Game of the year Award sticker'. Read the box carefully. Oblivion was awarded the game of the year award when it came out. The real GOTY is labeled "Game of the Year Edition" Those that have the award sticker are just the original Oblivion without the rest - Note, the Collector's edition had 2 DVDs, but the second one IS NOT a game, it is stuff like a movie on the making of Oblivion. It also came in a brown box and included things like a book about Cyrodiil, a collectors coin and a large map

If it is a boxed version, it should look like this. It contains 2 DVDs Both must be installed to get the latest patch. The second DVD includes Shivering Isles and all DLCs except 'The Fighters Stronghold' If you do not wish to play any of the DLCs or Shivering isles yet, just do not check them in the data list. They will be available when you are ready for them. I especially recommend unchecking the KOTN until you are ready as it makes some permanent changes that affect several places you will visit. The changes will not affect gameplay, but will tend to steer you to the KOTN quest before you are ready.
