Multiple monitors.

I recently bought a 19" Toshiba LCD television(Which has a VGA port, interestingly enough). It seems aside from aspect ratio, there are few differences between modern monitors, and modern televisions.

 

 

Monitor 1(1280x800 WXGA laptop monitor):

IM Chat

web surfing

e-mail

 

Monitor 2(1380x900 720p LCD television via HDMI):

gaming

watching movies

cable television

 

To make things more redundant, you could use a PS3 to stream music and movies to your television.
