you obviously like games for graphics.. Also oblivion has a unique leveling system Which you dont see every day, Also alot of freedom freeroam Graphics are not the best in the game but still i love oblivion Im a fan since 06 ^^

Although the image of an extended 'Horsemen of the Apocolypse' style arrival of the Mods and Admin would be something to witness...

What a great mod idea! The quote actually made me think of the movie called Tombstone where Wyatt Earp goes off the deep end and begins to hunt down the cowboy gang.

 

White horse, Dark0ne rider with area-affect poison arrows.

Blood-soaked fiery-Red horse, AlienSlof rider with a sword of flames (one-hit-kill).

Black horse, buddah rider with weight scales in each hand with an area-affect causing reduced stamina.

Pale green horse, Death rider with a scythe weapon and companions following close behind (e.g. Hell)...LHammonds with the BanHammer of Doom, Vagrant0 with the Dagger of Disposal, myrmaad with the Claymore of Cleavage and bben46 with the Katana of Knowledge.

 

EDIT: The myrmaad weapon was originally intended to refer to lopping off of body parts...not in reference to a body part...so get yer minds outta the gutter.

 

EDIT #2: Nevermind...I just need to come up with a better weapon name to avoid unintended interpretations and simply re-edit this post.

I think that the only game that can compete in diversity and having the ability to edit and spend countless hours playing is Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne on Battle.net before i got oblivion for my computer, i would play TFT for hours on end, often not realizing that i had been playing for 10 hours straight, when i thought i was only playing for 2 hours

 

I originally got oblivion for the xbox when it first came out, and it took me about 3 years to finally get into the game, and play it seriously, then about 6 months ago i got it for the computer, and have modded it like crazy, often every few weeks uninstalling it, and starting over for a different gaming style

The CS only crashes when you do something stupid. If you try something stupid you run the risk of the game crashing. i do a lot of stupid things(trying to give a blank horse AI the nif i made of a put together ship) so i save a lot and when the inevitable happens, i dust myself off from being bucked off the CS and climb back on. I bought this game last summer and I've played it around 300 hours, all because of mods. It's like having 10,000 free DLCs! Then there's the graphics, the freedom to do almost anything you want, the diverse character generation, possibility to make your own mods, etc...

 

Of course there are also things that I dislike, for example the crappy UI, that you mentioned, but the thing I really hate the most is the dialogue. It's stupid. If I want to get some information about the Seer's Stone, I most likely wouldn't say "Seer's Stone!" instead of "What can you tell me about the Seer's Stone?", and expect people understand me. Seriously.

 

So yeah, you've got a few points there, especially here... I'm confused now. I'll have to think about this a little more.

Even without mods i played this game for about a week straight. It sucked the life out of me and damn near cost me my job and i just discovered this game could run on my pc about a month ago..I played fallout 3 and loved it but i had to buy the console version because my pc can't handle all those world map fx.

 

I can respect anyones opinion toward a game. Not all of us like the same things and it was bound to happen that someone would hate this game..just.. posting it on a forum full of oblivion fanatics MIGHT be a bad idea.. It's like walking into a New Nazi chat room and start talking about how it's tough being a black man in a white mans world.. Your going to end up ruffling someones feathers..

 

Now..I also feel you've become slightly spoiled. When you actually have a detailed list of what to expect from a game,it's time to take a break and breathe air that isn't pixelated. Sure the interface is twitchy and the leveling system is originally lame..but if you are a true RP'er and are a fan of the TES Series,the upsides will drown the downsides..for example.. My laptop is integrated with a crap X1250 FX card..and even though the game doesn't even recognize it.. The graphics are still amazing! The storyline is complex and makes sense..the side quest are many..so much to the point that i never even reached weynon priory until i had finished the dark brotherhood storyline and made my way halfway up the fighters guild.. which took me all week.

 

The major point is..IF you hate the game.. and you've based it off of something you've seen on the internet..then no amount of opinion is going to change your mind,so creating a thread where people tell you their experienced opinions isn't really breaking news to you since you already played the game..right?...right..so all of the things we like about the game,you've covered in your list of things you don't like...Also..if there is absolutly no chance of changing your mind.. and you will forever hate this game,this thread is pointless and you ARE a troll...just saying..
