Stronglav
Ok so everyone likes the lore.Metal junk falling apart in your hands someone bysome mistake calling weapons. But the problem is that in the place where your survival dependson your weapon people must take care of theyr guns.Clean them and oil them.If not.... Darvin prize is yours.Did not clean your gun,it jammed and you got killed. You problem. No?So those of you who actually value theyr life will not buy and use junk!!Take care of your gun and it will take care of you.Simple,no?So what is the lore and where is the reason? dangman4ever
Any number of reasons:1) Shorter development time (18 months for FNV VS 4 years for FO3) combined with limited budget means that you can't afford to spend time adding in completely and utterly new game mechanics.2) The way the developers might have implemented it would have been no real lore or fun improvement at all. 3) What are you going to do with all those guns that you picked up? 4) Not many people actually complained about not being able to clean a gun so why bother adding in a feature that only a small minority cares about? Ethreon
Clean a weapon..what? Most weapons look decent enough to be used. And you have the repairing skill exactly for maintaining your weapons. What exactly do you want in the end? Wanna see live how you repair and clean up the dust from your gun? Because that is, you know, a bit impractical. And useless.
