JonathanMcEntire
I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember but it wasn't until recently I started getting into mods. While I was trying to get a body replacer for Oblivion a question came up. How am I supposed to install mods without getting all the files mixed up? What if I want to remove those files later? How will I know what's what? I'm a noob at modding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ynguatep
Try either Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM, easier, but with limits) or WryeBash (not as easy, but really, really good). If you want to use a large number of mods, better stick to WryeBash.Always read readmes and best backup your current files before installing a new replacer. I can't tell what you can possibly mess up with body replacers though 'cause I didn't try one yet. I gave a try to OCO 2.0 (faces overhaul) but uninstalled it due to language reasons. So far it seems that there's no problem. Edited September 4, 2014 by Ynguatep
InquisitorOctavius
With a body mod, if you dont like it, just go into the folders where the body meshes and textures are kept (meshes/characters I believw) and delete the meshes and textures. The game will defalt back to vanilla files kept in the bsa.
Harvald
In tes4files is an unistall option that works fine.
