Mod Request Thread

On the humorous side: I can't believe no one has done any Monty Python Holy Grail mods (at least that I've found). The armors would be semi cool, using the soundtrack would be funny. Using the quest line from the film, or even doing individual "dungeons" like "The Cave Of Caer Bannog" would be hysterical!

It's going to take me a LONG time to ramp up on the toolkit (just started). Maybe one of you power modders should look at doing this stuff!

I'm in on that one ;) I seriously think we should give that a go, we've got the film for voice acting, now all we have to do is make a holy hand grenade and several varients of swallow. I'm not all that good with the whole modding thing but i suggest we give our best shot :)

Wouldn't using the movie for voice acting be infringment on copyright laws?

I do agree that we need Monty Python in Oblivion. That would rock!

New thought. Something that would add an aura around people who have quests attatched to them that would be visible at a distance. I'm tired of walking up to a "bandit" camp, killing the inhabitants, then realizing that I just killed the master trainer of whatever. Or, trying to sneak up to verify that their bad guys, and getting spotted and wacked. I'm thinking that a red haze around the npc for a active or future quest, and nothing for everyone else.

That's a good idea. However, make the haze green for selected active quest, and red for unselected active quest. Don't put a haze around npcs who aren't involved in an active quest, because that would be a little cheating. Or, you could do what other games do and put a floating symbol above the head.

You really think someone's gonna care? I also wanted to use the Mr. Bean skin someone made to make a blackadder mod. That would be sweet!

You have to excuse my none.existing patience, but I just wanted to refer to my post again: http://forum.gamingsource.net/index.php?sh...0713&st=550

Think it could be sweet

The first one is at this time impossible. Maybe a new version of OBSE will allow it some day, but not right now.

The second... Well it has been requested many times already. Nobody is working on it (as far as I know) , and I don't think anyone will.

If we're still making mod requests here... maybe a set of armor that looks like the Paladin Tier 2 from World of Warcraft? While it's kind of a Darth Vader rip off, it does look pretty slick, and with a big 2-handed weapon, it looks even nicer still.

I know the "Holy Avenger's Armor" looks very similar to the Lawbringer set, so, thought the same WoW fan out there would want to put in a bit more time ^-^

Okay, this one has been buggin' the heck out of me since I noticed it a few minutes ago:

How about a stun mod (or something to that effect) for all bows/arrows in the game? It's pretty unrealistic for an NPC to keep on charging the player without so much as a flinch upon being skewered by an arrow. Something like the block recoiling upon being shot would be good - it'd have to be balanced so as not to make the player an unstoppable distance sniper, but I leave that up to anyone who might actually be able to make the mod.

All I've been able to find is a couple of "stun for six hours" custom bows.

I'm not sure about a stun mod, but you can use paralyze potions on your arrows which will stop enemies in their tracks for about 2-5 seconds (depending on the potion strength). Also, when you get high enough in the Marksman skill, your shots have a chance to knock opponents down, which is amazingly funny to see when they are charging you! Just don't make the same mistake I did and assume because they are down, they are dead.
