Povuholo
When I waited an hour for the first time, I saw all my health was restored. Because I didn't have that much maximum health, it didn't bother me. But later I found out ALL your health/magicka/fatigue is restored in 1 hour, no matter howmuch you lost. Don't you think it's strange that you regenerate so fast? In morrowind you had to rest hours and hours to get everything back if you had lots. It's not logic that a mighty wizard totally drains his magicka, and got it back within an hour. Or a knight who is heavily wounded, can he recover from all those wounds in one single hour? Except for gameplay, it's also from a roleplayers point of view a bit weird. What do you guys think about this?
Eother
I like it. There is a LOT less downtime. If I had a character who had to wait like, 32 hours every freaking time I got wounded, I would get VERY annoyed. Especially since it takes longer to wait than in Morrowind. I mean, it threw me off at first, but now it is great. Also, if said wizard is so mighty, it SHOULD only take him an hour. There. I justified it. :) One other thing... could a heavily wounded knight heal in 24 hours? A hundred? Nah...so, it is unrealistic no matter HOW you look at it. VladimIr V Y
I just don't rest much in the game. Only wait until morning or night is it's needed to to something. Like going to shop to sell goods, or going to local castle to steal something. Or sleep if it's needed in quest.I also heal all wounds right after battles, so don't notice any health regenration. As for mana - it regenetates fast on it's own. If you just stand around for a game hour it will regenetate just as well.
SoulBlazer_87
True it regenerates fast but only with high Willpower. However it IS NOT realistic to recover like 500 hp in an hours time. Its like having you arm cut and regenerate in an hours rest. Also with so good regeneration why would one need sleep (apart from leveling that is)? It makes Oblivion look like an insomnia only world. I think though That I read something that reduced the regen rate while sleeping in the mods. Hmmm I might as well check it out. Otherwise make this a mod request. someone might do it then if you can't. I'd be looking forward to it. I like some realism in my game. And Eother no matter how mighty you are you can't gather 400 out of 500 magicka in one hour. Then everybody would be almighty wizards.
odark
I think the new changes to the regen over an hour are stupid. It entirely negates the purpose of even picking up restoration or alchemy to heal. Wait one hour and all your crap is fixed, for free! And what's with the no waiting when enemies is around? I say let the player do it, and pay the consequences based on a roll of chance. Let's say 25% of the time the enemy finds you while your waiting... I mean, you're waiting not SLEEPING, you're just standing there no biggy. Another thing that really made this game more linear was the lack of flight, mark and recall. Yes I know about the mods, but that is beside the point. Remember how important those things were in morrowind, it really made the game 3d. Tel Fir without levitation, HAH impossible without 300 acrobatics which is also impossible. I think they catered too much to consoles users on this one, it feels like morrowind dumbed down. Still a great game though...
Setsuei
Quick note: yes, there is a mod which makes you regain less health on rest; I think you don't regain any health by just waiting. There's also some limit to how much health can be regained each day by sleeping. I think. Man, I have too many mods installed, I can't even remember what they all do. And they have made my game somewhat more unstable. I should get around to cleaning them up a bit, but it's so much work...
