LHammonds
My model is 100 % custom and new will I still be able to use that tutorial that she wrote ?That is how Nicoroshi created all his 100% custom bows. Two OBJ files imported into an old version of NifSkope. I really need to figure out how to create a custom bow and have it export directly from Blender though. I've been working on that off and on for a while now but have not yet succeeded....mainly because I don't know enough about animations in Blender yet. alonsomartinez
I know how to animate but dont know how to export them correctly because they work in nifscope but not Oblivion. Do you have any articles on that ?

LHammonds
I know how to animate but dont know how to export them correctly because they work in nifscope but not Oblivion. Do you have any articles on that ?The only tutorials I know about regarding the making of bows are the following: Windy's Shamelessly-Self-Promotional Bow Morph Tutorial for TES:IV Oblivion (July 3, 2006)How to Make Bows by Nicoroshi (April 4, 2008) Working with the person that is maintaining the NIF export ability from Blender, amorilla was able to make the Blender import and export feature work with vanilla Oblivion bows (Reference Thread). Blender NIF Scripts version 2.5.4 released on March 28, 2010 was the 1st version that allowed a fully functional import/export to work. (Change Log) So, we know that Blender can Import a bow and then export a functional version of it. What I do not know is if Blender can create a bow initially inside Blender and export a working bow. THAT will be the true test of the export feature. But it might be best to try an import a working bow, then figure out how to modify it (just a little) and see what has to be done in order to get a working version of it to export. Once a modified version can be exported, we can declare success to what I'd call Phase 1 of custom Blender bows. The 2nd phase would be to import a working bow, delete everything, create a new model and export a working bow. The 3rd phase would be to create a bow from scratch (no import of existing data) and then export a working bow. I have not figured out phase 1 yet. There may be more changes to NIF Scripts in order to allow custom bows to be exported. I simply do not have enough data yet. LHammonds
