Missing Hair!

Greetings.

I'm currently designing my own custom companion, but I've ran into a problem when it comes to hair.

I've installed the Corean Hair patch, basically when I open TES this is what I do.

Select CMLacey.esp as Active File (is my custom CM companion), CM Partners.esm, CM Partners.esp and Corean Hair.

I go into the Race Window and open up Hair too. My character is Imperial so under hairstyles I make sure all the relevant files are dragged in. Most of them have the Playable and Female boxes checked.

Anyway, once I choose my style and hit save on Lacey, I go in game to find she's bald with a blindfold on. I don't know if this is something to do with a bug from Ren's Beauty Pack. But when I was using Ren's and Soya's hair they wouldn't stick either and I'd ended up with the monk (Friar Tuck!) hairdo in game.

When I go back into TES and open the file the first thing it says it can't find the hair for CMLacey.

If anyone is able to offer any assistance, you have my textual internet gratitude.

Thanks :)

Are you talking about CmLacey as an Npc? You make changes to her in the CS. You should be able to see what your hairstyle looks like while you are inside the CS.Every Npc in the game is listed alphabettically inside the CS.

Oh yeah, I see the hair styles in the render window, just after I save and go in game, she's bald again. Then when I reload it in the CS it says the hair style is missing.

I think your problem is caused by your load order.Corean hair should be loading after Rens. I will recommend switching to a cosmetic compilation or Cobl. It is much easier to have one esp with all of your favorite hairstyles included than working with five or six different mods and dealing with googley/black eyes and tonsure haircuts on females.

Actually, you can fix the problem if you load up the mods as you have been, pick the hair you want to use, right-click and DUPLICATE it, then assign the duplicate to your character's race. Just dragging a hair entry from another mod onto a race will not save the information from one mod into another one. Duplicating the hair will make it a part of the active esp.
