These are the actions I performed which led to my issues: (first attempt at modding FO3)

 

installed fallout 3 and DLC to default directory

downloaded and ran FOMM

downloaded script extender, CRAFT and CALIBR

downloaded Wanderer Edition.

 

I copied and pasted FOSE content into fallout directory (no idea what I was suppose to do with this, may be the problem)

I used FOMM to add CRAFT, CALIBR and FWE

Make sure the load order is as suggested on the FWE page.

 

When I load up Fallout i get a CTD straight away. What am I doing wrong? Is there something that I should know before installing any mods as this is my first time?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Is the archiveinvalidation.exe something i need to add and install? What are the proper ways to add craft and calibr and what do i do with FOSE.

I'm had the same problem, try taking off Arciveinvalidation.

if you are using FOSE, use the FOSE launcher instead of the fallout launcher

 

if you are still having problems

 

always post your load order

 

your game is either crashing because you are not using the fose launcher

 

or because you have a missing master (incorrectly followed the FWE page)
