A challenge for every single Oblivion player out there

Those unfamiliar with a Nuzlocke Run, I am more than happy to show you.

It exists mostly in the Pokemon game base, where the following rules apply.

1. Whenever a Pokemon is knocked out it is considered dead and must be released.

**When you're all out of Pokemon it's game over and you must restart.

2. You are only allowed to capture the first Pokemon in each area you visit. (i.e. If the first Pokemon you encounter in Victory Road is a Golbat, that's the only Pokemon you can catch, even if you find a Medicham you really really want on a lower level)

That's pretty much it. I want to do something like that for Oblivion. Frankly put, this is my challenge to all of you. There is no prize save for bragging rights, as it's meant all in good fun, and to spice things up a bit if you've found Oblivion to get dull. :) Anyway, let's get started shall we?

The goal is this

Become head of all Four Guilds, Grand Champion of the Arena, and complete the Main Quest

Note: The Thieves Guild, the final quest does not have to be completed successfully

Optional: Complete the Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, and Lost Spires

And the rules for such a run?

1) If you die, it's game over and you have to delete the save and start allll over, no matter how far you are. This also applies to non standard game overs (such as a certain priest dying)

Optional: If you know how to via CS, you can put a copy of your dead character where you are for bonus points and a gruesome reminder~

2) You can only use Vanilla Races. They cannot be edited. This is to prevent people using Overpowered Races.

3) No Overpowered equipment or spells or buffs. (Cheat stuff essentially). This also applies to stuff that sells for an absurd amount of gold.

4) Companions can be used, but they MUST be NON ESSENTIAL AND THE SAME LEVEL AS YOU. They also must have auto calculated stats. Vanilla races only. No overpowered companions.

5) No fast travel at all.

6) If you fumble something, do something stupid, or an NPC dies on you, you must continue the game as is. No reloading so you can correct your mistake.

7) No cheats unless it is purely for the sake of bypassing a nasty bug.

8) The game difficulty must at the very least be at the default level (right in the middle).

9) You must start a new game for this.

Optional: 10) List what mods (if any) you used for your Nuzlocke Run.

11) Have fun~

Alright, I think I've covered everything, if you can think of something that can be abused, do let me know, I want this to be fun, yet painfully challenging.

Anywho, if you do take this up, I would prefer it if you kept a record of your exploits in a separate thread so this one does not get cluttered up. For your threads, I want you to tell of all the things you've done on your Nuzlocke Run, whether it be through pictures or storytelling, I don't mind. So get ready, and go take on the world! :)

And feel free to make it as hard as possible! I always enjoy seeing people beat the odds.

No thanks. In Diablo II you can play hardcore. When your character dies, he or she is dead and you can't reload any savegames. When I was at my peak and had been playing the game for a long time, I started a hardcore character. I was very very cautious, and had many close calls. I actually got 2/3 of the way through the game I think. And then a boss with a Begin OnDeath area effect elemental damage spell took me out. I was sad. Too much time invested in it. I have never played hardcore since.

I am not confident that I could get to level 10 in Oblivion without dying a single time. (Unless I stayed in town and did nothing but brew potions and sell them and practice my magic tricks.) And then when you get past level ten, the difficulty level jumps dramatically until you are like level 20 or 25.

Sounds like an interesting challenge. I wouldn't particularly give this a go, seeing as how I'm not a hardcore Oblivion player (not even having completed the main questline in the year and a bit that I've had this game) but I would definitely like to see how other people manage.
