Aeindrag
Alright, some folks out there may already know this (So, sorry if this falls into the "NO SH*T" category), but I couldn't find any resources to help me fix this. Anyway, this is what I tried, and It worked out for me. So here I go just in case anyone else out there has been having the same issue. I've had QARL's Texture Pack 3 (which is amazing, and a must for this game!) for a about six months prior to installing any other mods and noticed no problems, but I've been doing a lot of Oblivion modding as of late, and during that process I added something (probably the UNOFFICIAL OBLIVION PATCH) that caused me to see PURPLE DOORS in Chorrol at the Fighters Guild door, the Mages Guild door, and I think a few more buildings were plagued with PURPLE DOORS as well. I've heard some talk that the Unofficial Oblivion Patch can cause a problem with Qarl's Texture Pack 3, and I did in fact also install the UNOFFICIAL OBLIVION PATCH lately. After trying numerous things, I was about to give up and just deal with a few purple doors, but I figured that I would try one last thing. So I re-installed Qarl's Texture Pack 3, and re-installed Qarl's Texture Pack 3 patch version 1.3, which I saved months ago. The version of QARL's Texture Pack 3 that I have is not the OMOD version (which is the only version I could find on tesnexus), I do not know if using the OMOD version will work or not, simply because it isn't the route I took, but here's a link to a site with the same files I have: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=2363 I re-installed (extracted) the main QARL's Texture Pack 3 into the Oblivion/Data folder (overwriting all existing files) and did the same with the Patch 1.3 files. This took care of the PURPLE DOOR issue for me, hope it helps you out. take care
LFact
If you installed QTP III and UOP, I recommend you to install compatibility patch. QTP III has replacement meshes(for parallax), and UOP has another set of replacement meshes(fixed various issues), which can overwrite the former. Suggested install order is:Unofficial Oblivion PatchQTP IIIQTP III-UOP compatibility patch And installing 'Archive Invalidation Invalidated' is also recommended, so you won't need to mess with ArchiveInvalidation.txt. Erotica
The two texture files (listed below) are referenced from within the corresponding meshes in the texture pack, and the textures -> quarl folder should not be removed unless you are wanting purple (missing texture) doors in Chorrol. Qchorroldoor01.ddsQchorroldoor01_n.dds On a side note: avoid the game loader if using QTP3 (use a shortcut to the main .exe file, or use OBSE); otherwise the game .ini values will be reset, and the default textures will be used in place of the QTP3 ones.
