Unnofficial Patch stole my baby!

Installed the unofficial patches for oblivion, kotn, shivering isles and the dlcs. I actually only wanted to fix my game freezing when exiting lvl up screen but now my game wont load at all. My screen turns black for a few second when I start the game, and then we are back in windows with no error message. Here is my mod manager list. By the way; I am a complete noob when it comes to mods so abbreviations wont tell me much :)

Thanks for any help. Been wanting to play oblivion during my whole exams period, and now this comes and ruins my day.

You MUST have the DLC to use the unofficial patch for that DLC. Remove all of the unofficial DLC patches for any DLC you don't have.

 

The DLC MUST be loaded before the unofficial patch for that DLC (Otherwise there is nothing for it to modify.)

 

What happens on yours is the patch is loaded, then the loader tries to apply the patch and cannot find the file to patch. either you do not have it, or in the case of Shivering Isles the DLC.esp is loaded later and isn't there yet to patch - so it crashes.

 

To set load order you will need OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097

Use the full installer version for the easiest install.

Be sure to read the instructions as it is not a mod and does not install like a mod.

bben is right. Your problem is mostly 'missing master'. And, KoTN Unofficial Patch should be loaded after KoTN.

Thanks a lot! Worked perfectly. Now all I have to do is figure out why kotn dont give me access to vile lair, orrey etc. But thats not for here.

Unless you bought KoTN disc(or Steam GOTY Deluxe, maybe), there're no other DLCs included. You have to get them from Bethesda Online Store.

Already bought when I purchased oblivion. Just the uninstall-promt when I tried to run them. Reinstalled, runs like clockwork now. Thanks again for all help
