Marts Monster Mod 3.7b3 - FCOM problem

Recommended Posts

I believe Green Corpses are caused by your BSA Files not being registered properly.

Theoretically BSA Files are supposed to become active when an ".esp" of exactly the same name is activated, but that does not always seem to be the case.

You can manually "Register" your .bas files by editing the Oblivion.ini file located in your Oblivion Saved Games folder.

Put it at the end of the line that starts with "SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa," add a comma to the end, then add mmm.bsa

So, it would look like this: SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, <a whole bunch of files>.bsa, mmm.bsa (or FraNewItems.bas, or whatever.bsa) You can string them together separated by commas. All of your .bas files should be registered

If you want to see them in the CS, you need to do the same in the ConstructionSet.ind file.

Alright well that fixed the corspe issue. Now I just have one more issue to work out and my FCOM troubles will be over. All the clutter textures are missing. Such as barrels, crates, chests, boxes, etc. I havent been able to find a solution for that

Unless you have installed a Texture Replacer, the textures for all the items you mentioned are contained within the "Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa" file.

This should be the second item in the list above, where I was indicating how to register BSA files. Or, if you are using ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bas, the "Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa" would be third in the list.

Like this (with or without "ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa"):

SArchiveList=Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Oblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsa, (a bunch more file...)

If this file is missing, or has been renamed, then that is probably your problem.

If not, maybe it has become corrupted and needs to be replaced.

If you are using a texture replacer, "ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa" is a much better solution than ArchiveInvalidation.txt.

Im using Quarls Texture Pack III, I have the ArchibeInvalidation bsa, I have the Texture bsa in there. And i used to be fine until i did a clean install and installed FCOM, now the clutter textures are gone. It may be corrupt, if it is, how do I replace it?

If you are using Qarls, then your problem is probably not a bad Vanilla Texture file.

I believe Qarl's replaces the items you have indicated. I had tried using it myself, but ended up uninstalling because it totally whacked my game. I even upgraded to a VERY powerful PC in the hopes of being able to use it, but it isn't a matter of hardware; it's the game.

Be carefule of Qarl's.

First, try moving or renaming the ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa. This will force the game to use vanilla textures. That should give you a direction. If you suddenly see all the textures that you didn't before, then you know something is funky about the Qarl's installation (and that is a whole different matter altogether).

I think this is starting to go beyond my level of expertiese. The last thing I can suggest is disable all mods and try it completely vanilla. This will indicate whether you have a conflict, or if something is messed up/corrupted.

If something is corrupted you'll have to reinstall from the CD. I don't know if that is easy or difficult.

OOO comes with a bunch of files: meshes, textures, the works. Either try reinstalling that, or examining the structure and see if you are missing anything.

I have never had any trouble with OOO, so I'm kind of shooting in the dark here.
