VladimIr V Y
I carry a daedric shortsword as primary weapon. Daedric claymore, in case I will need it's great reach. And an Ebony Blade for tough cases. It's Absorb life is a real life-saver sometimes. A daedric bow too...
Erlkoenig
I generally carry around a fine steel longsword, a steel bow, a steel claymore, and whatever enchanted weapon along with an Akaviri Katana. Speaking of which, where do you get more of those?
skippybassplayer
i'm a fan of the elven archblade, same as daedric, but looks betteralso carry a daedric claymore, bow, and mace
Dilvish
No one who uses primarily blunt weapons yet? It seems like I find more good axes and hammers than swords in Oblivion. Maybe I'll go with blunt for my next character. Gotta try a bow sometime too.
Switch
I do, with my latest character. Axes and hammers do more damage than swords and claymores, but they are very heavy by comparison and slower as well. Still, it does make a nice change from swords. ;) He's currently got an enchanted Dwarven Mace as I recall. Somehow it's ended up with a greater damage rating than his Elven two-hand axe. Though usually Ebony is my favourite design, I think the Ebony two-hand axe is rather ugly. I definitely prefer two-handers to one-handers with axes anyway. I use a 1h mace and a shield + a bow as primary weapons, for "special" cases, I use smth big to axe my way though a mob of Goblins :P (usually it's a ligtening-encanted 2h axe) PS - I have light armour and sneak as well
Markofthefrostbyte
Blade and bow man here. like using some of the katana mods out there and also the first tsurugi mod (i love that sword especially the reach of the thing). for the bows any kind really though i usually enchant it with paralysis so I can get in a few seconds taunting my enemy before gutting them...or pushing them off a nearby convenient cliff. Vicrry
I've been using war axes, they're ever so slightly faster than maces. I've not found anything better than a Dwemer.. I mean Dwarven Waraxe though - two-handed weapons are too slow for my tastes. Also, is paralysis a good enchantment in Oblivion? I tried it in Morrowind but everything under the sun resisted it. Mhh - that's strange, I used paralysis in Morrowind and it worked well. I enchanted a blade with 3sec paralysis and it made me more or less invincible, no idea 'bout Oblivion, though...
