Ice_Dragon
For me it depends on the mod, But usually i carry a claymore of some type. At the moment it is Umbra my character has equipped.

mechsaber
on my new nord i decided to get the best of both weapon types.. blade and blunt. So now at my current level i carry a dwarfen battle axe, and a dwarfen shortsword
sleaaels
I carry just one weapon at a time, because i hate going back and forth from dungeon to merchant. If its a blunt weapon, then its Malog Bal (spelling*) if its a sword, then its "The Fathers Sword" with steal health enchanted (mod). Everyone carries Umbra, but i got stupid and traded it in for the helmX( Oh well nothing i can do about it now, and i don't even use the helm! mechsaber
now on my nord i carry the "sword of frozen flames" a elven longsword i made my self, as strong as deadric, and light as a feather. i also carry "lightbringer - the hammer of the paladin" a hammer i made myself, stronger than deadric, lighter than a feather and faster than a dagger.. i only use the hammer when i fight 20 enemies at once (i play adrenalin oblivion)
Judas_Grace
My Character dual-wields scimitar with elven shortsword. For backup i have silver bow with enchanted elven arrows. Works great! Especially when sneaking around!
daeanor
I'm lugging around Goldbrand and Umbra, and an elven bow. I never use the bow except to trigger traps. I only rarely use Umbra, I find that Goldbrand kills most creatures far faster as long as it has charges, and for the most part, I think it's easier to cast soul trap mid-battle than to switch to Umbra just for that. Zadir
My current character uses whatever he feels like at the moment. He doesn't wear his armor in public, but instead wears blood-red robes, and a hood to hide his Dremora face. He is a Necromant. A Necromancer with a knack for stealth and light armor. He usually carries a supply of iron arrows (this is a newer character  ) and a rusty iron bow. He also carries at his side a Steel LongKatar, but plans to upgrade to claws as soon as possible. He sometimes likes to summon a skeleton to to his fighting for him, if he is tired, or just skulks through the shadows throwing fireballs at solitary targets. He also, being a Necromancer, always carries a heavy supply of bones, ribcages, and skulls. He fancies himself the next great fear of the mortal mind. He is Laguz, and he is to be feared. Rhydderch Hael
While my character isn't the most adept enchanter around (all spells available to him are usually the Novice and Apprentice-level ones) he makes due. My outfit includes a pair of swords, both enchanted to 1600 charge capacity through Grand or Black soulstones. First blade is the 'arming sword', tuned to deliver a magic attack drawing 16 magicka an attack— 100 charges in the sword. Low-yield, high-capacity. Primary function of this sword is to give me a means to defend my character on the road as he travels from hot spot to hot spot, saving the power of his other sword for the 'real' fight. Which brings in the second sword, the 'war sword'. 50 magicka an attack— 32 charges. Enough 'oomph' to toast a few bad guys before I retire from the field or seek a recharge. Which brings up the third weapon— a 'hunting bow'. What I'm hunting isn't meat— it's souls. High-damage magical attacks with a Soul Trap spell to boot. Nail down a few critters' souls with Azura's Star and dump the result into the swords.
