CTD with FCOM

I decided to try and install FCOM recently. Along with 185 plugins (including FCOM). Everything from loading screens to green mohawks on Khajiits. All was going fine through the tutorial. I get to the end of the sewers, and CTD! FCOM is definately the problem as I disabled it along with all of its 'co-mods' like OOO, MMM, Fran etc. and there was no CTD when exiting the sewers. Therefore the CTD may be caused by any of those. I have SI installed along with most of the official mods.

I really want to use FCOM in my game, so if anyone knows what the problem is, and even how to fix it, then I would be UBER grateful!

The problem is still not fixed, I know there are people out there who can help me (and many other victims of FCOM)!

 

I can't help your problem with FCOM because I've never tried to run it myself, but there is another matter that you might want to look into.

 

I notice that you have HrmnsOblivionScriptOptimizationv1.0.esp loaded. The original version of this is known to be incompatible with Shivering Isles - which I notice you also have. I recall having seen a version on TesNexus by someone else that was fixed to co-habitate with SI, though I have not tried it.

I also found that the original is a non-SI version, but I downloaded the SI fixed version. So that is not the problem.

Is there anyone else who knows how to fix problems with FCOM?

Hello, I was having the same problem. Do you have some missing meshes and green textures? I did, and the problem was MMM. For some reason the mmm bsa wasn't being recognised by FCOM. When I read mmms installation instructions, it said to rename the mmm.bsa to either Mart's Monster Mod.bsa, Mart's Monster Mod for OOO.bsa, or Mart's Monster Mod for Frans.bsa, depending on which esp you used. The problem is that with FCOM, you dont use any of those esps (at least I'm not), just the esm. I solved it by renaming the bsa to FCOM_Convergence.bsa (not 100% on the spelling), and all the meshes and textures appeared, and I was able to exit the sewers. Just find the main FCOM esp, and copy the name exactly to the mmm.bsa
