Alixen
Heya all. My party wears normal clothes as they travel. They only put on their armor for extended adventures such as the Deep-Roads, the Forest and the final battle. (It makes the game more 'interesting'; but also has roleplaying logic.) Armor is ri-i-diculasly heavy. If Alistair and Sten fall over they arn't getting back up until at least two people help them. If it's muddy and swampy that better be before they drown. There's a reason war-horses where so bloody massive. Not to mention one of the major jobs of a squire; cleaning the poop out of his masters armor. You can't get that stuff off to go to the toilet easily, or at all really. They just used to... go. Loghain sure looks spiffy in that armor of his... but damn, stay up-wind. No, no. There is no reason for Alistair to be squatting by the fire, potentially crapping in his armor. when we are on 'downtime'. Sorry if I grossed anyone out. =P My problem is, I usually only have enough 'commoner' clothing for my main character, and thats only as CE/Casteless/DN. DE can be roleplayed in their leathers; but that doesn't help the rest of my party. Through the occasional I can potentially gather enough to outfit my entire group, but that's usually by mid-way through the game. So, would anyone with modding know-how be willing to help? It would be nice if Bodahn stocked a few stacks of each style of clothing (Noble varients, commoner clothing, and dwarven clothing).
DarkeWolf
Ok, I gotta point this out, just cause I'm really tired, and my brain is kinda swimming. The part about going to the bathroom wasnt as much of an issue as you are making it out to be. A couple of buckles and the back was clean and clear  The gambison underneath, welllllllll...... I'm NOT doing his laundry. K, now that that's out of the way....You might take a look at hdhd's additem script. With it, you can add pretty much any vanilla item that you want to any of the characters thru console commands. He's got a link in the description for how to add the console. And that page has a link on how to make it so that you can actually SEE what you're typing. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1131 Granted... its a little more work to get it all started, and isnt as simple as just buying something off a merchant. But hey, you wouldnt have to wait on a request that may or may not get worked on  Also, sorry if I'm coming off a bit rough. I'm 3 hours past bedtime and was just on a thread where we were complaining about the toolset. its not you, its just my mood
Alixen
The part about going to the bathroom wasnt as much of an issue as you are making it out to be. A couple of buckles and the back was clean and clear  The gambison underneath, welllllllll...... I'm NOT doing his laundry. I know, I was just playing that part up for comedy. My general point still stands though. I wasn't aware of additem codes. I used them in Oblivion and Fallout, but with the invisible console I rarely use Dragon Age's. Thanks for that link. On the other hand, my request still stands. It would be nice to have a standard file that makes roleplaying a little deeper in the game, even if it is as small a touch as this. On that same note i'm also worried if I make the console easier to use my will won't be strong enough to avoid cheating in other ways. I fail my Will saves far too often. Nah, didn't come across as hard.
DarkeWolf
Actually... there was another reason why I posted a link to that. His list DOES have all the vanilla items in it. So anybody who does want to do the script to add the clothes to bodahn has a source in hdhd's script. They just need to sort thru the filenames. (which is a lot less hassle than trying to find them in toolset!!)And would probably wanna use the script that restocks on each save game load, to prevent any issues with the items load that some of the armor/weapon scripters are using.I was gonna mention that before, but... sleepy..... forgot.....lol. Good, am glad of that. I really gotta watch some of these threads that I post in. They make me grumpy, lol. Will saves. hahaha I havent heard that one since I played Tabletop D&D! Actually.... I think that the old armor like that is where most of us guys get our spanking fetish. Those metal plates swinging back and forth, slapping the knights on the butt..... :whistling:
eleglas
About the invisible console, you may wanna look at this mod: Make Console Commands Visible And I enjoy using the Additem script, I use it when at Ostagar to cut down on time killing the DarkSpawn, joined with the zz_jump_around command, I can finish the Wilds in about 10 - 20 seconds (depending on how many 'Jumps' it takes to get to the right place; I understand now how Sam Beckett felt lol). But when you download the Additem command mod, you get a pretty long list of codes that has everything you need (more or less) (BTW, DarkSpawn blood is pre200im_darkspawn_blood.uti). The worst thing about this text document, is that it doesn't tell you what the codes are, most of them are very complicated to understand.
