Okay, so I'm new here, kinda, and I've been adding mods to my beloved Oblivion for quite some months now. However, I've got a huge problem! Yellow pyramids are showing up in my added mods and screwing up the entire RPG feel. I think there might be something uncool with the meshes or textures. Anyhow, please help:) you can post here or send me a private message on the forum.

May the eight and the one watch over you.

Yes, yello pyramids mean, that there are some meshes missing Did you install the mod correctly/put the meshes in the meshes folder in the data folder?

Btw. welcome here

I think I've importet etc correctly...are there any tags for the different things? like A - files are meshes, B - textures etc.?

Thanks mate:)

Normally when you download a mod here, the meshes are already in a folder called meshes, the textures are in a folder called textures and so on. You just have to extract everything into the oblivion data folder.

Well, I've put the meshes in the Oblivion meshes file (in the data file), and the textures in the textures file etc, but they still screw up:( Aren't it like some of the different file - types (NIF - files are meshes and DDS - files are textures)? Thanks a lot for helping me out mate:) I appreciate it.

what i do, is when i install a mod, I just unpack it in downloads and drag the whole folders labeled meshes and textures into data, on my PC, with vista x64, that always auto sorts, and thats generaly the accepted means, you CAN shovel content in dds by dds but that often wont work, generaly speaking just drag the textures and meshes in without doing anything to disturb file structure, also if you run an EXE be prepared for some massive glitches, they just dont work on seven and vista-I tried OOO via exe and it destroyed my install and corrupted all my mods, thanks a bunch oscuro, anyway just try that and see how it goes, it should put everything where it needs to go :teehee:

Yes, .dds files are textures and .nif files are meshes.

Let me explain where the .dds and the .nif files have to be:

Lets imagine you install a sword mod called sword.

You will have a sword.esp, a (or more textures) sword.dds (texture), a sword_n.dds (also a texture) and a sword.nif (mesh).

You put the texture sword.dds and the sword_n.dds in a folder called sword. You also put the mesh sword.nif in another folder, also called sword (the folders HAVE to have the same names!!!!)

Then you put the folder sword with the texture in the texture folder which is in the oblivion data folder. The same happens to the folder with the mesh, but instead in the texture folder, you put it in the meshes folder. Finally, you put the sword.esp into the data folder. Then you check the sword.esp in the launcher and then you can play with the mod.

Maybe you write down which mods you have installed, so we can hhelp you better :)

Lists of problem mods

- Verone House Bloodlines (allmost everyting, from the houses to the people are either invisible or yellow pyramids)

- Hoarfrost Castle (minor problem with a pyramid above the gate and missing cuirasses on the guards)

- Bank of Cyrodiil (the sign outside the entrance)

- Glenvar Castle (too many problems to list it here)

- Azure Palace (there's a lot of pyramids on the building and inside it)

- Calair Castle (the sword in the basement is replaced with a pyramid, and there are pyramids around the statue in the display-room)

- Tale of Ruined - Tail (the tombstone doesn't work and it's replaced by a pyramid)

- Vergayun (the new food types are pyramids and the tombstone of the pirate is screwed up)

- None of the versions of RealSwords are working

- Gold and silver bars (they're just pyramids)

- Gold Coin Bagger (same problem as the one above)

- Muffin Gold Dishes (as soon as i put them down, ie. removes them from the inventory list, they turn into pyramids)

Thanks once again guys, this is one of the best forums I've ever experienced:) Sorry for my horrid English btw, it's not my first language:P

So if you really installed the mods correctly, I don't know what could cause the problem...

Read the readmes of the mods and watch out cuz probably the aren't compatible to each other...Maybe this causes the problem...

Do you have any other mods installed or only these?
