Broken Steel Issue. Please Help!

Hey everyone.

 

Some time ago I bought Broken Steel and Point Lookout DLC [ Not through the Internet ]. Point lookout had no problems and works fine. So did Broken Steel the first time I finished the main quest. However, I had some months to play and I recently made a new character but when I get into the Memorial and say to Sarah to start the purifier, although she starts it fine, after the outro video the game sends me back to the game menu and instantly crashes to desktop.

 

I have made continuous efforts to correct the problem but nothing seems to work.

 

So if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

 

In order to help , here are some info about my game and PC.

 

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz

GPU - ATi Radeon HD 5870

RAM - 4 Gb

 

My game is not too heavily modified and contains all DLC.

Its patched to version 1.7

[ works fine except for the part where I initiate the purifier , after the video ]

 

Any help would be very much appreciated :)

P.S. I know many people have trouble with broken steel . I tried to fix it viewing some topics but nothing worked, so I would like to apologize in advance in case I haven't searched well enough for solutions but I am desperate.

this problem is usually caused by using a custom race

But I am afraid that I use a non custom race. I use the default Asian race and have installed no races.

 

And I have already installed that mod.

did you post in the mod's thread about the problem
