CS crash when saving

Recommended Posts

Hey there everyone,

I´ve only started using CS a couple of weeks ago cus´ I´ve been wanting to redecorate my houses to my likeing....so I have figured out how to use it basically and since there are some modders here who have made the most greatest furniture pieces but haven´t the time to make a mod like the IC Furniture store to put their furniture in I decided to to use CS, As my luck has it the mods which I want the furniture from seem to crash the CS upon saving!!! with vanilla stuff and some other mods it works fine but not with others.

Does anyone have a clue to how to fix that?

I have to point out that the stuff I´m using from other mods is for my personal use only!!!

Did you remember to install Oblivion outside of C:Program Files to avoid UAC issues? You may have to use Wrye Bash to convert an esp to an esm while you do your modding. Just remember to convert the file back to an esp when you are done.

How are you attempting to place the furniture in the houses? Vanilla houses or from other mods? Are you creating a new personal-use mod or customizing the mod that owns the furniture for your use?

The reason I ask is that attempting to "incorporate" items from other mods into a new or different mod is tricky and prone to difficulty. Adding mod content to a Vanilla location is more easily (and commonly) done.

I´m taking items from other mods and placing them in vanilla locations.
