slaughterfish
So, I have some problems mods ruining the RPG experience in my game, by adding yellow pyramids to the game. I've talked to some people on the Newbie forum, and they directed me here....Well, they explained what was wrong, but seeing how I'm an utter n00b, I can't fix it myself:P So here's the list over problem mods: - Verone House Bloodlines (allmost everyting, from the houses to the people are either invisible or yellow pyramids) - Hoarfrost Castle (minor problem with a pyramid above the gate and missing cuirasses on the guards) - Bank of Cyrodiil (the sign outside the entrance) - Glenvar Castle (too many problems to list it here) - Azure Palace (there's a lot of pyramids on the building and inside it) - Calair Castle (the sword in the basement is replaced with a pyramid, and there are pyramids around the statue in the displayroom) - Tale of Ruined - Tail (the tombstone doesn't work and it's replaced by a pyramid) - Vergayun (the new food types are pyramids and the tombstone of the pirate is screwed up) - None of the versions of RealSwords are working - Gold and silver bars (they're just pyramids) - Gold Coin Bagger (same problem as the one above) - Muffin Gold Dishes (as soon as i put them down, ie. removes them from the inventory list, they turn into pyramids) I've removed most of these, but I'm currently using the following mods: - All the official mods, except for Mehrunes Razor - Adaman fortress - Arcane Bank of Cyrodiil - Azure Palace - Bartholm - Beyond Cyrodiil Markers - Big Business - Books of Console - Calair Castle - Castle Goldmore - Castle Highrock (also some problems with this one) - Castle Highstone - Player hunts fame/infamy - Daggerfall Books - Darkbrotherhood Chapel - Extended Chorrol - Extended Skingrad - Flame Amulet - Glenvar Castle - Golden Arrow (the shop) - Hanstholm Village - Hoarfrost Castle - Imperial Warehouse (doesn't work, but it ain't messed up) - Lorekeep - Personal Shop (doesn't work either) - Better Hunting - SSSO clutter overhaul - Tantrivaylia - Blade master's sword - Vergayun - Your personal dungeon - Extended Skingrad Vinyard I also have a problem with some mod that adds "iron arrow of incineration" to my game. Do you know anything about those? Anyhow, any for of help would be most welcome:) May the eight and the one watch over you.
yeldarb
Use a program like 7-zip or j-zip to install your mod files into oblivion. Both of them are available for FREE on TESNexus.Folders that are labelled distant lod, meshes, textures, sounds, voices, trees, and bsa's,esp's,and esm's go into your data folder.A program like OBSE(Oblivion Script Extender) or the Construction Set(CS) is different and requires you to install files into the Oblivion folder. You will want to download Oblivion Mod Manager(OBMM) and learn how to create OMOD"s out of your favorite downloads. Read the pinned topics and the "how to" guides on the forums, they contain alot of useful information and links to step-by step guides.

MonsterHunterMaster
Oh Yeah, I forgot about it-do you use OBSE (Oblivion script extender)? Some mods need it. Just download it on tesnexus and copy the files into the Oblivion folder (not the data folder) where the Oblivion.exe is and then run the game with OBSE. I downloaded Oblivion script extender, and it fixed a couple of small problems (missing lights and such) but I'm still missing a lot:( How do I use the Archive Invalidation? bben46
The most common reason for these 'yellow pyramids' is improper mod installation. And installing a bunch of mods at once doesn't make it easier to find. Normally when you install, a message will pop up warning of a possible overwriting and asking if you want to do it any way. Answering no means the Meshes and textures will not be installed (you just told it not to) always answer yes. It will not overwrite anything - it will append the new stuff to the folder without doing anything to the original stuff. If all else fails Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gamehttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340 Then install one at a time and test before adding another - the time you think you saved by installing a bunch of mods at once will be more than lost trying to find which ones are causing problems. Thanks bben, but I don't install mods that require overwriting:S Is it possible that it's demanded it without me noticing? Remember, I'm an utter n00b:P
