link
i recently read an article that said that the next console generation would begin in 2005, with nintendo and sony releasing their consoles head to head. just wondering what console people have their eyes on. Oh yeah, nintendo are officialy dropping their kiddy image with Too Human(looks much, much nicer than Doom 3, sorth of a mix between Blade runner ,5th element, Warhammer 40k and with some japanese samurai influence) a possible launch title and maybe a realistic Zelda. tmons78
for a console, i would have to go with playstation 3. sony seems to have the most continuity between each console (being able to play older games on the newer console). xbox2 might do that, but i can easily see nintendo developing a whole different game cartridge/disc/whatever in an effort to make more money. just look back nintendo had its own cartridge style, then super nintendo a different one, then n64 yet another different one, and finally game cube has tiny discs, but i digress. playstation 3 all the way for me. Eltiraaz
yeah PC power for me too. But I dont like to spend too much money and thought on games... B) But If I had to get one, then I would get PS3 probably, I have the most respect for sony. I would never buy Nintendo anything, I think that it is a kids console, the best thing they have been able to come out with on their own is Pokemon and Mario, not to mention Zelda which also really sucked IMO. Nintendo is utterly pathetic.
thanateros
The only thing nintendo really did well was SNES, which IMO is the best console of all time. I'll be sticking with the PC, they're cheap as dirt to upgrade and the technology just keeps on getting better and better. Not to mention they are more vesatile than most consoles, they don't just serve to provide media entertainment, so you can have your kicks and do your work on the same machine, which I really like when I'm doing work and want to be distracted. If I had a choice though it would be PS3, sony has dominated the current console wars; they just really know how to appeal to a lot of audiences with their vast title library. Making it so you can paly PS1 games on it was a really smart move too.

Marxist ßastard
Well, you have to admit that Nintendo has cornered the handheld market and has enough money to buy out some games, as long as their new system is technically capable and they attempt to knock down their reputation for censorship in some other way than producing Conker games... However, it's not my concern... PC POWER!
