eman5112
Clean install, uninstalled oblivion, uninstalled OBMM, deleted all left over folders such as the oblivion folder in "My Games", and the Data files installed by Mods, everything. Reinstalled oblivion, and the game crashes on boot. How do I fix that?! I thought it was my mods that were unstable, so I tried a clean install, and I still have a crashing game. What's the deal? Here's what my oblivion folder, and oblivion/data folders look like if it helps. GOTY retail disc edition
Fonger
you have a texures folder IIRC the game does not create one of these it comes from mods something's not completely right here are you absolutely certain you've deleted the folders and that you are not using win7/vista AND installed to the default directory -- UAC may be tap dancing on your face if the AND is true. eman5112
Yeah, I deleted the entire oblivion folder, so I think it creates it itself. And windows 7, installed into the default directory, but UAC is as off as I can make it. I did fix this, I took it off the default graphical settings, and maxed it out in the actual oblivion launcher. Fixed it, lol. No clue why that should have worked. Probably a hardware issue or something. Anyway, this forum has been so helpful to me so far, just wanted to thank everyone again. Now, lets see if I can't get these mods to work!
