Campaigner
EDIT 2; New Problem arose. View page 2 for detailsEDIT: Problem solved, solution summarized at bottom of post Hello. I'm somewhat new to custom races, so bear with me on this. I understand that I have to simply copy the files into the respective folders. In the following link, there are three race-related mods; http://narulivion.blog46.fc2.com/blog-entry-187.html These race mods are as follows;1. Modular Beautiful People 2ch Edition (Found http://oblivion.forum.jpmod.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=130 ) - This adds many custom races, along with a bunch of new hair styles - It comes in 4 7z files, so you have to unzip part01 while all four parts are in the same folder. You will get an OMOD file.2. X117 Race ( Found http://www.4shared.com/file/-Anx9qDn/x117060a.html ) - This adds support for other races who use head meshes that are bigger than normal. To be precise, heads are 1.17x bigger. - The next files require this, as far as I know3. Argonoid Race (Found http://www.4shared.com/file/0-7qIf2u/Argonoid_EspOnly060.html and http://www.4shared.com/file/d0a5Z5bz/argonoid.html ) - The first link is, as it says, only an ESP file. The other link is to the meshes and textures. Upon installing these mods, I am getting a guaranteed CTD at start up. I have used the Modular Beautiful People 2ch Edition and X117 Race mods in the past, so I know those work without issues stand-alone. Can someone help me get this Argonoid file to work? Also, I use HGEC, and the person who I know uses this mod also uses HGEC. Just saying. EDIT; SOLUTIONOpen Argonoid, x117, and MBP esp/esm files in the Construction kit.Open the race tab, highlight Argonoid, and select Face DataHead; Lop Ear Elf, choose the second head mesh. Leave second one as Argonoiddisregard earsChange all teeth to Moonshadow Elvesleave tongue as-ischange eyes to lop ear elfSelect Body Data tabOpen the hair selection tool by selecting "Character > Hair" in the top toolbarClick and drag all hair choices into the hair window in the Body Data tab.OPTIONAL; Open the general tab, and change the voice to Animhi, if you don't want regular argonian voices
ziitch
Well, first off that's actually an old version of BP2ch, it was updated to a "modular" status some time ago - So search for "Modular Beautiful People" to get the latest version. But there's more! There's a special version of MBP at the Narulivion site - I suggest using that after getting the updated BP2ch, as it also adds a few races, eyes, and hair not in the original package (The Lop-Ear elves are just too cute!). It should also have the necessary files for the expansions, except for a few races like Ashara's Sirens and Tritons, Chocolate Elves, Cute Elves, and perhaps some files from the original Beautiful People. Campaigner
Care to link the special version and the other stuff you said? I have lop ear elf (Agreed on cuteness, I love em), but I'm still inexperienced with finding the right link on sites in languages other than english or spanish. AshSparkle
The installation guide on the site looks pretty complicated. I am using Beautiful Pople 2ch-edition 1.7.1 beta2. Besides new races, what does the modular and newer version do?? >.< I am not sure whether I should upgrade it or not.
ziitch
Well, first off the Modular version breaks down the set into a master file and three esps (eyes, hair, and vanilla races), and it's all in an omod (or at least my version was). Anything made with the older versions should easily transition to the new master - It's best that any mod that uses the old version of Beautiful People should be changed to the new version though Wrye Bash (select the mod, go to the master list, and right-click to change) if it hasn't. You might also want to run those mods though the CS and see if everything did transition, and swap any of the custom races used in the mod to its equivalent that's in BP2ch; Chocolate and Cute Elves were added, as well as Asharas Sirens and Tritons, so once the swap is complete those mods can be deactivated and those precious slots are freed up. And a little error on my part - that BP is the recent version. But anyhow, here's the Narulivion edition: http://narulivion.blog46.fc2.com/blog-entry-187.html Keep going down until you see Roberts Male Body V5, and the recent full version is underneath the [DownLoad]. Or, use find with the phrase "MBP++ 0.6.1".
Campaigner
I'm in the Construction Kit right now, trying to fix it by adding the missing meshes (Which, comically enough, are NOT missing). Only problem I have found so far is that the eyes are enormous. How do I move the eyes into the sockets and make them the right size?
ziitch
Don't worry, the x117 race is set up differently - the head will look messed up when showing only the head, but if you go and create a NPC, the full character view will correctly scale and position everything into the head. Campaigner
Ah, I see. Good news though; after fiddling around, I fixed the esp to show everything using lop ear elf and Moonshadow elf textures :D Bad news is, I made an esm/esp variant of all MBP, X117, and Argonoid files, so I have no clue which is the working one. I have em all loaded, so I know one works, but that's all I can go on. EDIT: New bad newsI have no hair on them, and I don't know how to add it
Campaigner
Dumb question; If I were to temporarily upload the edited ESM, could someone add the hair to it? Like, add support for the Ren hair and such from MBP and X117? I can't figure out how to put hair into the options for the life of me.
ziitch
Go to the Character menu, and select Hair..., and then do the same again, except select Race... Now, select the race you want to use, and then click and drag the hairs from the Hair dialog to the hair Styles list in the Race dialog. EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention. the Hair Styles list is under the Body Data tab.
