Episode three is has an Aperture Science ship in it, called the Borealis, which contains advanced Aperture Science technology. Now, according to the lore, the only useful technology they've made is the Portal gun. The rest of it was lead-lined shower curtains. So there is a possibility that the two could visit each other's locations. I would root for having the Portal Gun in HL2. I can't quite install mods well enough on it myself to do it. Chell is now in a broken down test facility around 7 years past her escape, after which the Party Escort Bot probably put her in stasis. She could have been on the Borealis, which is a broken down ship. It's all speculation, though, I won't know anything 'til they release Episode 3 some time in the 2020's.
