cmar001
Hello all. Im having a terrible issues with skins. As an example, I am trying to get the HiRez Seamless Tabaxi skins to work with HGEC. I have installed HGEC using OBMM and installed the Tabaxi Race AND the skin replacements using BAIN, but this is what happens to my skin: http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx82/carldana/ScreenShot1.jpg PLease...if anyone knows what is going wrong, I could do with some help. I have ArchiveInvalidated, uninstalled, reinstalled and its always the same. I would appreciate any help.
JDGameArt
I don't know any thing about the Tabaxi mod so I'm talking a blind crak at this... But it looks to be a mapping problem. What mesh are the high rez "cat" textures supose to go with? You have both the FemaleFoot.dds (the default HGEC map), and you're new texture loading at the same time. Yeah...Im using the HGEC Models and they are supposedly compatible with the HiRez skins.
cmar001
Okay...I think I figured it out. I installed the white Tabaxi Beta and that seems to work, but the tabby one apparently doesnt have skins....so will always look borked up.
SavageArtistry
I get a similar problem if I use a skin texture meant for HGEC on the FF body and vice versa (crotch on left hip). You need a body texture made for your chosen body type. Even if the mod you're using doesn't have the right one, hunt around. You might find something you can use from another mod. For example, I wanted to install Slof's Clouded Leopards. The only files I could find did not support the FF body. I looked around and found an old race mod where someone (with permission) had converted it already. I just pulled the texture out of there and I was good to go.
