Getting a new Laptop....

Basically, I'm trying to get a new laptop but all the info for the graphic cards and everything is either vague or confusing. I get that an Intel i7 is better than i5 but.... yeah, I dont get how, or whether either of them will even run Oblivion. I know that Intel has problems with Oblivion, or at least I think.

If I have to sacrifice Oblivion for other games, I suppose thats fine, but can anyone point out a laptop thats good and reliable for games and normal use, something that'll be able to run full speed even after a long time maybe? Aha, something that'll be able to run SC2 when it comes out as well. ^-^ I just dont know that much about computers, so maybe you can help by at least pointing out what I'd need for Oblivion and other games.

Btw, price range would be... under 1000 at best? Maybe under 800 too...

its pretty hard to find a cpu that won't run Oblivion any more - in fact you really gotta know what you are doing to track one down. (you mention i7 vs i5 -- that's cpu)

But its the video requirements that are rather easy to run afowl of.

So pay particular attention to the video hardware.
