So,why did you post that here?

Relax, don't get your panties in a bunch. If the mods didn't/dont want it here they will/would have moved it/delete it......it's not like the title is opaque. Deals on the retro fallouts are few and far between. I'm simply giving others, that havn't grabbed the earlier games, a heads up.

Pretty sure it belongs in the proper section, whatever it is.

The proper section.....but you don't know if/what that section is? The rules of the forum serve important functions, but I'm not posting for self promotion (my name isn't Gabe, I don't own steam and I already have the retro games) but to help the community members that don't have the retro goodness of fallout.

Oh man, so exciting! Shame I don't have money at the moment  Hope they repeat this sale later on...

Hey Amiga, yeah good stuff. I'm pretty plugged in to teh steam sales and I don't see the retro FOs go on sale very often......not very often at all :( BTW that's $5 for the package deal (all three), not individually.

I'v been meaning to play the classics, but being a FPS gamer, it's been hard to switch gears. Maybe wasteland 2 will entice me to the old school rpg style.

I think I actually got them free on GOG some time ago (Fallout 1 and 2 if I recall correctly) but Steam is so much more convenient. I am so mad I don't have money right now, haha! Isn't the second the one where you can become a porn star? That's hilarious :P

Fallout 2 is amazing. Probably one of the best games I've ever played and my favourite fallout world. Fallout 1 is OK but I didn't think there was much to do in it. Tactics is more of a combat strategy game than an RPG. There are some restored content mods for fallout 1 and 2 (you can find them on nma) which really add to the game.

Oh you can add your non steam games to your library too, if you interested I can scrounge up the link. It's pretty easy if I remember right.

Yeah, LOL I think you do get to do a shoot.....good times

Definitely have to play it, just getting over the isometric/2d thing. I'v seen the fallout 2 restoration project and talked to the head modder (it's really moving along), but I wasn't aware there was a fallout 1 project with any real momentum. I'll have to take a look at that.

Wasteland 2 is getting a lot of decent reviews, maybe it will be my gateway drug back into the old school rpg's.

I still have 3 Fallout game disks 2 are unopened and the 3rd one I still play now and then but I only have 2 Fallout 2 game disks one is unopened and the other one I still play as well. I even have the Van Buren Tech Demo with a mod patch to make it less glitchy and to fix broken game features. I never was into Fallout Tactics I had the game and played it for about 20 minutes and got frustrated and threw it in the kitty litter box for the cats to play with.

Ouch, that bad? I know there's a lot of hate for tactics and only the larger plot points are considered canon, but I do love the story that I'v read about it in the wiki (the Calculator and especially the future results of whatever brain merges with it).
