PandemX
Hello,I have a quick question. I want to create a city of custom buildings. Single building consists of 20-30 objects such as wood panels and logs, so I am getting a massive lag when looking at the city. Is there a way to connect those objects so one building would be a single object?
esuriddick
Hello: I think the only way is to do one mesh which contains all these objects. But not expert on statics and such.
jet4571
creating custom buildings from parts like you would an interior cell should only be done sparingly like 1-3 buildings at the most in one area.
NorthHare
You might be able to combine the objects into one mesh using NifSkope, but with 20-30 objects, using something like Blender would be easier. tumbajamba
Even combining 20 models with blender will not solve your problem, since the polygon count remains almoust the same. To solve this problem you will have to remodel the building from scratch with lowest possible polygon count.
NorthHare
I was assuming there'd be a lot of overlap where excess vertices could be removed, but yeah, I guess that might not help much with stuff like logs.
