vTemporalZEROv
Looking for a mod or for someone to make a mod that limits: The amount of ammo (per type) that you can carry at once instead of 3873y460895684y89j4598j .556 bullets.. yknow? The amount of caps you can carry at once (being a realism mod liker) having it be roughly around 5k at most. EXTRA STUFF: If possible, limit the amount of weapons you can carry at once. REASONING: Sick of being able to carry 20 weapons and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammo and caps at once.. very.. very unrealistic.
Danny159
Maybe limit the amount to what you wear? If you don't wear anything where do you keep that big missile launcher when not equipped?I don't wanna keep everything in my fictional ass... bben46
There are mods that give weight to caps, ammo and everything - then people get mods that allow extra carry weight so they can carry a dozen weapons Here are a few i found with a quick searchBottlecaps have weight: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35270/?Mass Recalibration: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44348/?Realistic Bottle Cap Weight: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50302/?Realistic Carryweight http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50779/? yungskiz
ben nailed it hardcore mode does a decent enough job with ammo weight, but im posting to offer my fix for carrying ammo. put on the merc grunt outfit and tell me where your going to put your 5.56 magazines. in practice a cargo pocket will hold 2, 4 is feasible but the flap will not close.....then try running.... there are several mods that add plate carriers, aka (on the nexus) tactical vests, body armor ect wasteland warfighter is the most recent offering.anyway most of them add a piece of chest armor that provides damage resistance and sometimes an extra 10-15lbs of carry weight while the armor itself is rather light (considering that even with a pair of modern ceramic plates your looking at 14lbs - 18lbs depending on the round its designed to stop, and carrying 45lbs of armor, ammunition, and hydration with your shoulders actually kinda really sucks) but anyway, i use that extra added 10lbs of CW for ammo, my weighted meds and sometimes water, but the water is often compensated for with a backpack. long story short i never "leave the house" carrying more than the weight that my armor and backpack allow for, discounting worn armor, a primary weapon (that you would be holding or have on a sling), a secondary weapon(that would be on a belt mounted hip holster), a knife (ideally mounted to the plate carrier) this sounds nuts because it is, but i play NV like a hardcore tactical shooter and most of my loaded mods reflect that
blaze1514
It isn't nuts at all, I actually do something similar (however I never use tactical vests as they are not lore friendly, I go for shoulder pads and NCR style armor plates, or just combat armor itself with some bandoleer slings). Normally use a loadout of 2 primary weapons, 1 sidearm, one tactical weapon (pulse gun, stun gun, flare gun, etc...), a melee weapon, and a few frags. Then I use mods like Project Ultimatum, CC&C, and ECNVE (standard, TSC, or Marine) to add to the tactical feel. Then I use Wasteland Defense and or RTS (plus other quest mods) for encounters.
