Skotte
This issue is very common among those who use Realtek audio & the fixes I know are get a different sound card OR plugin a mic
EvilPlushToy
Holy crap Skotte ur awesome! Using a mic totally fixed the problem. it was a huge pain in the ass to transfer the esp over to GFs comp whenever i wanted to do a dialog. Just to clarify for anyone else who has this problem and finds this thread, i used a wireless mic/headset, and the receiver takes over as the soundcard when the mic is turned on. so if just plugging in a normal mic doesn't work that may be why. H1ms3lf
This issue is very common among those who use Realtek audio & the fixes I know are get a different sound card OR plugin a mic This fix should be pinned in the forum, I've seem this bug around for such a long time, can't believe GECK is not crashing anymore. Reading your reply I thought "what a load of crap", since I do change hard drives in this same system (realtek audio), but with windows XP 64 bits on the other drive I got no crash. So after reading that the guy above has Win7 (same here) could fix his problem with a mic, I tried that and it worked :/ I take my hat off to you Skotte, again, this information should be pinned, there are probably way too many ppl with realtek audio who must get this crash but just give up on trying to fix.
